Restorative Dentistry
Restorative dental procedures accomplish three goals:
1) They repair damaged teeth or replace missing ones with natural, tooth-colored restorations; 2) They return proper function
to that area of the mouth and 3) They improve the esthetic appeal of your smile. We offer a full range of treatment options,
including:
Dental Crowns
Porcelain dental
crowns applied in our office are an excellent way to repair damaged teeth while maintaining a natural looking appearance.
Porcelain crowns - a custom designed cap that is bonded snugly onto the tooth - are identical to your natural teeth in both
color and luster. If you have damaged teeth or old metal-based crowns and would like to learn more about our porcelain dental
crowns, please contact us to learn more.
Implants
If
you are missing one or many teeth, dental implants provide a comfortable long lasting natural appearing alternative
to bridges or dentures. Click here to read more about Dental Implants.
Bridges
If missing teeth or gaps
between your teeth make it difficult to chew, or if they leave you feeling awkward about your appearance, a dental bridge
might be just the solution. Dental bridges are composed of natural-looking synthetic replacements for missing teeth. Almost
indistinguishable from natural teeth, the dental bridges we use are composed of tooth-colored porcelain and attach to crowns
or implants. Dental restorations with bridges can restore both a comfortable bite and a beautiful, full-toothed smile.
Tooth-Colored
Fillings
Modern dental materials allow our dentists
to repair your cavities with durable, safe, tooth-colored fillings. These new filling materials are formed
from long-lasting, composite resins and plastics and provide for restorations that are more natural-looking than those of
even 10 years ago. To find out more about these resilient and attractive fillings, contact our practice today.
Inlays and Onlays
An inlay is the preferred treatment when tooth decay or damage lies within the cusp tips of the tooth.
An onlay is the appropriate remedy if the extent of damage is greater. An onlay repairs damage that is affecting the entire
chewing surface of one or more tooth cusp tips. Inlays and onlays both preserve healthy tooth structure and strength. The
strongest material for both is gold, which we bond to posterior teeth for extremely strong durable restorations. In parts
of the mouth which are not readily visible, gold is still the hands down best choice for a restoration.
Full Mouth Restoration
Sometimes,
restoring a full, healthy smile requires a comprehensive approach. This includes considering such factors as asymmetry, facial
architecture, stains, gum and bone structure, lip line, and occlusion. In the case of accidents, poor overall dental health
or less than desirable teeth structure and size, a full mouth restoration might be the best solution. To learn more about
